So my birthday was Monday (yay!). I had a great weekend at The Pnk Out, One Dope Show, and Pretty Lit Live.
On Monday, Mr. PnkPanda (he hates that) planned a really chic dinner at my favorite spot in Ann Arbor–Zola Bistro. Robin was our host/waitress for the evening and she did a wonderful job.
Zola Bistro has one of the BEST brunches, so if you’re in the Ann Arbor area you should check them out. I ordered the Chicken Piccata and it was really good. It was served with potatoes, sautéed spinach, and artichokes. I had them put the capers on the side.
The absolute best part of the evening was the cake. Zola Bistro did charge $2 per slice to cut the cake for my guests but that seems to be the norm at most restaurants. The cake was from Angel’s Cakes and Bakes in Lincoln Park, MI and it was awesome. They had really great customer service. I sent a picture, paid my deposit, and it was done–all over the phone. The owner is a former high school classmate so it felt really good to support her small business. If you are in the area, make sure you check her out as well!
So, what’s my verdict:
Service: Excellent, the entire staff was accommodating. We were and full blogger mode and they were very cool about all the pictures and questions.
Food: Good, the brunch is definitely better.
Ambiance: Excellent, very chic location.
Now about my outfit. The heat has been absolutely unbearable so I wanted something that was flowy and cool. Cue my favorite place—TARGET!!!!! This off shoulder dress was perfect for my rose gold and pink accessories. AND UNDER $30. I scored an additional %5 off with my Target RedCard. Gotta love that!
